First through sixth grades are some of the most important years in a child’s life. Building a
spiritual foundation in their lives is crucial during these years. We feel that coming to church
shouldn’t be boring.

God’s Word is at the center of everything we do at FBC Trussville. We seek to create fun
environments where learning about God’s Word is fun, ultimately giving them the ability to use
it on a regular basis.  All activities are carefully planned with each child’s needs in mind.

  Sundays
1st-4th Grade Sunday School

9:15
 •  FB 2nd Floor
In Sunday School for 1st-4th graders, we want the Bible to come alive through interactive teaching in Sunday School.  As you walk onto the 2nd Floor of the Children's building, you begin to experience Hebrews 12:1-2, being surrounded by a "great cloud of witnesses."  Kids learn about the Heroes of the faith, and walk past them every Sunday.  To see pictures of the Sunday School floor, click here.

5th-6th Grade Sunday School
9:15  •  FB 4th Floor

The decisions 5th and 6th graders make will determine their character in the years to come. We place a high value on preteens at FBC Trussville. This group meets separately on the 4th floor.  During Sunday School we study the Bible in a chronological fashion, showing them how the Bible relates to their lives.

Our preteen ministry is called Four-Twelve, based on 1 Timothy 4:12 which says, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity."

Children's Worship
10:45
 •  2nd Floor  •  1st-4th Grades

We believe you don't have to be a certain age to worship God.  However, different ages worship in different ways.  Children's worship is a services designed for those in K5 through 4th grade, letting them worship in a way that relates to them.

We meet on the second floor at 10:45 AM immediately following Sunday School.  Children's Worship is a high energy time of music, skits and Bible teaching.  Parents, to be a part of Children's worship, email Michael Moore at mmoore@bdielectric.com.

  Wednesdays
Acts 1:8
If you're a kid, the place to be Wednesday nights is at First Baptist Church Trussville! For 1st-4th graders, the night starts at 6:00 PM on the second floor and includes a large group worship rally, games, music and small group Bible study.  Lessons from Sunday School are reinforced and Scripture memory is a key component to the evening.  The kids learn to live out Acts 1:8, which says "...you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

5th-6th graders meet on the 4th floor at the same time, with small group Bible study led by high school students., and followed by praise and worship and large group Bible Study.  And of course there are games... including the ever so popular war ball!

The last Wednesday of every month is Xperience, a concentrated, hands-on mission project where the children see what they have learned come to life and experience the joy of giving.  The night often includes special guests who come and share about missions in a fun, interesting way that keeps the kids engaged.
