Our Men's Ministry is for men of all ages in our church, as we seek to be husbands, fathers and men of integrity. Through prayer, Bible study and service, our purpose is to become Godly examples for our families, church and community.

Service seems to be the mainstay of our activities, which is appropriate.  John 3:16 tells us that "God so loved the world, that He gave..."  Giving of our time, resources and expertise, we demonstrate our love for God, and for those we serve.  Come be a part of this vital, yet fun, ministry.  You'll be glad you did!

    Men of ESPN
This men's ministry group is dedicated to four key areas: (1) Encouraging one another as men and in the faith, (2) committing ourselves to service to others, (3) Praying for one another and our families, and (4) conducting ourselves as men of nobility/integrity.   Saturday, August 11, 2007 will be our kick-off event, as we meet together for breakfast in the Fellowship Hall here at FBC Trussville.  Our special guest will be Pastor Buddy.  This is an open invitation event for all men in our church, so please make plans to join us.

    Men on Mission
Each year, our Men on Mission put their hands to work, building, restoring or renovating a church somewhere in North America.  This past year they spent two tours of duty in South Carolina, working on the Gap Creek Baptist Church in Marietta, South Carolina.

With the devastation of Hurricane Katrina still being felt along the Gulf Coast,

plans are in the works to coordinate with our three Gulf Coast partner churches to rebuild what was lost.  The only requirement to joining the Men on Mission is a desire to glorify God through a little hard work.

Keep an eye here and in The Link for trip information for 2006.

    Men of Acts
Like the Men on Mission, our Men of Acts put their hands to work, glorifying our Heavenly Father through a little elbow grease.  The only difference is, their efforts are centered here locally, particularly for the widows, senior adults and single mothers in our church, as well as others who need their help.

Work days are announced from time-to-time, where those needing help with odd jobs around the house can request assistance.  The response in 2005 was overwhelming, so no doubt several more work days will be scheduled for 2006.  Again, the only requirement to join is a love for the Lord, and helping people.

    Men's Prayer Time
Our men meet each Tuesday morning at 6 AM in the Chapel for a time of prayer and devotion.  This is a special time where we can focus on God, and

what He wants to do in our lives, and in the life of our families, church, community and world.  All are welcome, so come be a part of our prayer time!
