  At FBC Trussville, our Senior Adults are called the Joyful Hearts.  As Christ followers, we should be the most joyful people in the world!  Because of what God through Christ has done in our lives, we can face the future knowing that no matter what comes our way, God will work through the events of our lives to bring good to us and glory to Himself.  Because of the hope which lives within us we can also affect the lives of those around us!  The Joyful Hearts Ministry accomplishes these goals in a number of ways.  
 
 
 

Sunday School

Wednesday Morning Contact
Seniors play a
a vital part in bringing others
to a personal relationship with Christ. Contact is also made with inactive or homebound members as they make visits, calls, or send cards.

   Joyful Hearts Luncheon
4th Thursday of each month  •  10:30 AM Programs include an inspirational speaker, musical group or a speaker addressing
a topic of interest to seniors.  The cost of the meal is $3.  Reservations are not required.


Joyful Hearts Singers
1st & 3rd Thursdays • 10 AM
September through May, this group regularly ministers through music in area retirement centers and nursing homes.  The Singers have also performed the musicals Moving With the Sprit, Senior Moments, and Homeward Bound.
 
Retreats/Trips
Senior adults love to travel, and the Joyful Hearts are no exception.  Throughout the year, retreats, extended trips, and day trips are planned.  In the past, we have traveled to several retreats in the Gatlinburg, Tennessee area and Gulf Shores, Alabama.  Other trips have included the Western U.S., Lafayette, Louisiana, and Northeastern U.S. and Canada.
